house envy! It's a lazy Sunday afternoon and the movie Something's Gotta Give is on. The movie is around 9 years old (where does time go, really?!), and I'm still in lalaland watching this movie, or really just in a trance admiring every detail of the house. 9 years, and I'm still madly in love!

My new obsession

GOLD. yellow gold. rose gold. brass. love it all. I think it is refreshing to have that little bit of sparkle and the brightness of yellow to metal after everything has been so dark, grey, dull and cold for so long. I've been craving it and loving to wear yellow gold for the past year - especially with a tan. But now I'm starting to acquire rose gold as well. Not sure how I can and will incorporate it into my home since I have recently replaced all the fixtures and metal bits with nickel, but maybe I can do it in a small way in office accessories.

How is everyone feeling about the holidays? Everyone ready, tree up, gifts bought, wrapped, recipes together, grocery list prepared? No? Well, then you are just like me! I've got to admit that I'm not yet in the holiday spirit. I usually have the best intentions in early November and start leaving sticky note memos all over the place with gift ideas and things to do. Once we roll into December those things get replaced by work obligations. Not sure if it is the same for everyone else, but December becomes my busiest time of the year with a mad rush to get things done for everyone else before the holidays, and my things are thrown together last minute. Once Christmas does arrive I'm exhausted!
This year feels like the worsts so far. I'm so far behind with really not a single thing completed. The past two evenings were spent finally ordering gifts online, and I'm crossing my fingers that they arrive in time. Not to mention the fact that when I get around to buying my wrapping paper and gift bags I'm going to be stuck with Dora The Explorer paper to wrap all the gifts with for the men and teens in my life! Oh well it's the thought that counts, right?!
